Corniche Hospital, UAE’s largest maternity hospital, is Joint Commission International accredited and a leading referral hospital for obstetric and neonatal care. The 235-bed Corniche Hospital provides facilities for more than 8,000 births and over 120,000 outpatient visits a year. The hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is one of the best and also the largest in the country with a 64-cot capacity. Owned and managed by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the hospital offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient, and specialty care services including fetal medicine, obstetric medicine, reproductive medicine, lactation consultation, and others. Corniche Hospital is a Baby Friendly Hospital, promoting breast-feeding and supporting mothers and babies with parent education. Corniche Hospital is also a premier teaching facility offering the Obstetrics-Gynecology Residency Program, Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Midwifery Training Program, Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship, and the NICU Nursing Certification Program. The Hospital is the first facility outside the UK to be accredited as a training site for the ATSM programs by RCOG and also the first to start a midwifery program in the UAE.
