Yeditepe University Hospital which was founded on August 26, 2005 on an area of approximately 16,500 square meters has a capacity of 150 beds and a technology based on an infrastructure completely equipped with intelligent systems which enables it to provide a 24 hour service. The hospital is also equipped with completely antibacterial, fire and scratch proof materials and every detail crucial for human health has been considered. In the hospital all patient beds can be cleaned with high pressure steam and sterilisation is of huge importance.

A Multislice CT (multislice computer tomography), a 3 Tesla MR, a PET-CT (recognizing cancer cells) and a Gamma Camera are a few of the high-tech devices in the imaging center which increase the precision in diagnostics and treatment.

Computer technology is being used very efficiently at Yeditepe University Hospital. A software called HIS (Hospital Information System) enables the hospital to collect and process patient data quickly and to use this data for diagnosis and treatment. Furthermore, patient specific information such as analysis, x-rays, laboratory results can be presented and stored in electronic media. This software reduces paper circulation and bureaucracy to a minimum and helps to avoid time losses for patient families.

Medical Genetics, Cell Type Determination, Stem Cell Laboratory increase the efficiency in latest diagnosis and treatment methods.
