About Clínica Sicilia

Clinica Sicilia's focus is on the prevention of periodontal disease and the restoration of lost teeth with dental implants. In 1995 they developed one of the first digital orthopantomographs in Spain. This is a combined digital radiology and imaging system which reduces exposure to radiation.

In 2000 they were one of the first clinics in Spain to develop and obtain the standard UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2008 for quality management systems. They also developed a system for computer-guided surgery called Robodent®. Clinica Sicilia relocated to new premises in Oviedo in 2010 with over 900 m2 dedicated to periodontal surgery and dental implants. In these facilities, they have been developing an Interactive Computer-Assisted Surgery concept, with a Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit.
