Clinical Innova Ocular IOA Madrid, formerly known as Advanced Institute of Ophthalmology, is for 95 years a reference in national Ophthalmology.

Established in its current structure in 2000, is led by Dr. Francisco Poyales Galan, third generation of the saga ophthalmologic Poyales, pioneers in the development of new techniques and diagnostics in ophthalmology practice. Dr. Francisco Poyales himself was one of the pioneers in the development of the phacoemulsification technique for cataract surgery in Spain, having performed more than 20,000 operations, and performing his first surgery with this technique in 1989.

Innova Ocular IOA Madrid is a multidisciplinary clinic Ophthalmology, equipped with the latest technology both in the area of consultation and diagnosis and the surgical area.

The center offers a comprehensive portfolio of services that includes the most significant subspecialties of ophthalmology practice, and a secure facility adapted to all needs. In total, 1,000 m 2 designed to provide our patients with comprehensive care.

The result of continuous improvement process to achieve the highest standards of quality, Ocular IOA Madrid Innova is the first outpatient center specializing in ophthalmology in the Madrid region and second nationally to gain accreditation Joint Commission International. This is a voluntary and external verification process to assess the degree of compliance in a series of previously established standards, focusing on patient care and management of the organization. Since 2004 all our processes are audited by the SGS certification, with the achievement of the certificate ISO 9001: 2008.
