Hospital San Javier Puerto Vallarta opened on November 23, 2000. This is the first institution to offer a comprehensive medical service located in the city of Puerto Vallarta, in the Banderas Bay area. Fully committed to provide leading-edge medical technology, the hospital has a unique high-technology medical team in the area along with cutting-edge quality infrastructure for the community and tourists who visit the place year after year.

There is an Intensive Care Unit for adults in the hospital, a Blood Bank, a Room for Hemodynamics, a Clinical Test Laboratory, a Hemodialysis Unit, full Diagnosis Area and the only one Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at an accredited hospital in the area.

From its beginnings, Hospital San Javier Puerto Vallarta has been concerned with supporting the less favored sectors of the community by providing free hospital care to minors of low-income families protected by different institutions. The purpose of Fundacion Hospitales San Javier A.C. is to raise donations by organizing and/or participating in social, sport or cultural events aimed to raise funds to financially support the activities performed by the different welfare institutions.

From its beginnings, Hospital San Javier Puerto Vallarta has been concerned with supporting the less favored sectors of the community by providing hospital care at a preferential price to different institutions, such as the Regional Hospital and the DIF (Department of Family Guidance), in addition to permanently teaming up with Fundacion Hospitales San Javier A.C. whose purpose is to raise donations by organizing and/or participating in social, sport or cultural events aimed to raise funds to financially support the activities performed by the different welfare institutions
