Hospital de la Familia is a multidisciplinary hospital that was established in 2003 with the aim of treating both national and international patients. In 2010, the hospital underwent an expansion project, extending its capacity and the range of services available.

The hospital is equipped with 23 private rooms, 5 operating theaters, 5 ICU units, a pharmacy, and a cafeteria. There are over 15 departments at hospital which include angiology, cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, endocrinology, sports medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatric surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, general surgery, oncology, geriatrics, internal medicine, neonatology, neurology, neurosurgery, rheumatology, and urology.

Hospital de la Familia provides complementary transport for international patients from anywhere within 190km (120 miles) of the hospital, and patients from further afar can reserve transport for an additional fee. The hospital also offers concierge services, translation services, and assistance with hotel booking. Hospital de la Familia offers medical travel insurance for international patients and accepts a variety of international healths insurances including Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Bluecross Blueshield.
