On March 5, 2004, by decree of the President of the Regional Council n. 056 / PRES., Was established the University Hospital "United Hospitals" in Trieste, whose organization, in implementation of Legislative Decree No. 517 of 1999, it must be developed on the basis of logic that allow the integration of departmental activities care, teaching and research premise of the constitution of the Company Integrated University Hospital. And 'the result of the integration of the existing Hospital "United Hospitals" and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Trieste.
