The company for health care as instrumental entity of Region is tasked to achieve the objectives of the Regional Health Service, using the process of assistance resources allocated to it in order to implement an effective health promotion and care disease, through the production of health services appropriate to the needs of the community, in ways that make the maximum efficient use of resources.

Assumes responsibility for meeting the needs social health and social welfare as a delegation from the local authorities, in close consultation and cooperation with authorities and local institutions themselves.

The whole organization AAS 3 is aimed at protecting health as a public good and individual and fairness of citizens' access to social and health services, in accordance with the decisions of the same.

The assistance shall be continuously in a constant prospect of integration: integration between different professions and disciplines, including social and health, between Hospital and Territory.
