About Edith Wolfson Medical Center

Wolfson Medical Center was established with the generous aid of the Wolfson family, and named after Lady Edith Wolfson, wife of Sir Isaac.

Sir Isaac Wolfson has devoted his life to philanthropy and the family foundation established to support worthy causes in the areas of health, education and science in the UK, CIS and Israel. In 1962, Queen Elizabeth II awarded him a knighthood in recognition of his contributions.

Sfktrmn Lady Edith Wolfson was. She was brought up in the lap of a long tradition of volunteerism and continued to do so as an adult, when served as president of "faith" and vice president of the JEWISH WELFARE BOARD. She worked tirelessly for children, especially those in Israel, and served as co-chairman and president of the Association of Assistance to Youth Aliyah.

The memory of Edith Wolfson Medical Center immortalized it bears her name.
