Established as a multistage tertiary care hospital in 2001, Sterling Hospital is today the market leader in private chain of hospitals across Western India. For three consecutive years, between 2007 and 2009, Sterling Hospital was honoured as the Best Hospital, and it garnered the title yet again for the fourth time in the year 2011. The Ahmedabad centre of Sterling has become the first hospital in Gujarat to be accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) for excellence and quality in healthcare. Above that, its Pathology Laboratory has become the first corporate hospital laboratory in Gujarat to get accreditation from the prestigious National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), reiterating high quality testing and diagnostics capabilities of the hospital. Sterling Hospital, Vadodara, which the Group took over, is also the first corporate hospital to be accredited by NABH in South Gujarat.
