About Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute

Masarykuv onkologicky ustav - Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute (MoU) in Brno is a specialized oncology center with international scope that has a certificate United Accreditation Commission of the Czech Republic (SAK CR) and is a member of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes ( Organisation of European Cancer INSTITUTES - OECI) .

The constitution provides all the necessary medical disciplines to ensure comprehensive cancer carethat includes prevention, epidemiology, diagnosis, different modalities of anticancer therapy, rehabilitation.

The Institute focuses on scientific - research activities, including basic research. It is working with pre- and postgraduate education of physicians and other health care and educational activities aimed at the general public.

Annually, the Institute nearly 10,000 hospitalized patients and outpatients treated for 200,000 people.

Currently MOÚ apply the latest practices in Internal Medicine (cytostatic, hormonal and biological) treatment, the Institute is included in the European and global clinical studies in which the effects are clinically validating new drugs or new combinations chemoradiotherapy.

On yellow hill also apply the latest approaches in the surgical treatment of tumor diseases in Werner Hall in radiation therapy - radiotherapy.

In the long term the Institute among the best rated medical facility in the Czech Republic in terms of both professionals and patients.
