About Hospital Paulistano

First called the Hospital Nossa Senhora do Carmo, the Paulistano Hospital was founded in 1947 by Dr. Nicholas Mancini, Dante Smilari Lacovini, Romeo Bertelli and Armando Pocci, among other distinguished physicians, with the mission to offer society not just a single hospital, but a center of excellence in medicine.

Over the years, the Hospital Nossa Senhora do Carmo came to be recognized as one of the best equipped of São Paulo, always with art facilities and a highly specialized medical team.

The constant search for excellence has made the hospital never stop evolving and in 1971 opened a new building, extremely advanced for the time, with 150 beds distributed in wards and apartments.

In 1988, the hospital changed its name, becoming called Hospital Paulistano. Despite the change, the hospital remained with the philosophy of always remain at the forefront of medicine. To continue this growth story, on August 6, 2000, its facilities were modernized, in order to enhance comfort, convenience and safety of customers, companions, visitors, employees and professional team.

Today, 60 years after its foundation, the Paulistano Hospital is proud to maintain the mission when it opened: provide the company access to quality medicine, with differentiated service and hospitality, through qualified staff and operational and technological excellence .
