Founded in 1961 by Dr. Fernando Mauro Pires Rocha, the Alvorada Hospital Moema took its first steps with the creation of an office in the southern region of São Paulo, where he won with humanized and personalized service, trust and preference of the residents in their surroundings.

Two years later, in order to provide equivalent service to its customers' needs, Dr. Fernando realizes the possibility of expanding the structure of the service offered. With the expansion of the facility in 1963, the office becomes the Emergency Room Alvorada.

In 1967, Dr. Fernando joined the other three doctors: Dr. Geraldo Rocha Mello, Dr. Samir José Kalil and Dr. David Schapira. Through the new company, the emergency room was transformed into Home Health with wings Emergency, Inpatient, Surgical Center, Obstetric and X-rays, reaching thus the tertiary level of health care.

In 1974, the Health House was demolished to begin construction of the Maternity Hospital Alvorada, which opened in 1976 with 122 beds, 14 exclusive to intensive care, and 7 operating rooms, two obstetrical.

With the passage of time, the hospital undergoes another reform, begun in 1996 and completed in 2000, being named Alvorada Hospital Moema and counting with 209 beds, including 29 for intensive care, as well as double the amount of operating rooms ( totaling 14). In the same period begins the construction of the Paulista Medical Center (an annex to the hospital), opened in 1999, with structure for 262 offices, a mini-shopping, ample parking and food court.

A second expansion took place in 2005 and another in 2009 with the opening of 19 more ICU beds.

In 2009, the Amil group acquired the hospital and, in 2010, was started the accreditation process by JCI. In 2011, it opened eight VIP beds and physician comfort with new concept, and carried out the expansion of pediatric ICU beds.
